Tara na Vigan na!

As a traveler who has been to a few locations, I must say that this town has most intrigued me. It has brick-built roads instead of concrete ones, retro-style lighting, scattered buildings with windows made of capiz shells, and lots of "Kalesa," or horses pulling sleds that can accommodate three or four people. You can immediately appreciate the location by just taking in its breathtaking scenery and appreciating all of the historical pieces that are there. Come along with me as we explore the area; I'm Zarah the Explorer. By the way, Vigan has a ton of gorgeous tourist attractions and mouthwatering cuisine. So what are we waiting for? Let's get started!

The Vigan Cathedral, a very old and significant Spanish-style architecture, is the main reason this location is well-known. I've read in an article that this edifice has existed for the last two centuries. I can see that this Roman Catholic church is a true representation of the Ilocanos since, despite having previously experienced several earthquakes, it has remained resilient and powerful, much like the Ilocanos.

Furthermore, because you may meet a lot of people there, Plaza Burgoz is an excellent site to visit if you want to optimize your socializing. It is enjoyable to be there, in my opinion, since you can sense the serenity while enjoying its simple beauty and listening to the wind chime. Due to its spaciousness, I also saw that many students were practicing their performances there when I visited.

On the other hand, Vigan is also known for its mouthwatering cuisine. I visited the food booths and sampled a variety of foods. The fried rice, also known as "sinangag," at YUGO is excellent, and I can already assume that everyone there is nice since they are friendly and constantly wear a smile on their faces, which makes them seem approachable. The coffee from the "Tamang Kape" booth is also balanced. It is not too bitter, not too sweet, or too bland. And lastly, their shawarma is really good. You can never question the meat since it is soft, juicy, and tender. It is well marinated and it is paired with delicious condiments which makes me want to go for the second round. Overall, I'll give 4.9 over 5 ratings for the food and accommodation since no one is perfect.

Lastly, you can never leave Vigan without enjoying their fiesta by going to their carnival. It might not be as big as the amusement park that can be find in the cities, but it gives this different type of satisfaction especially when you're with friends or loved ones. I rode a lot of rides there and I can tell that Vikings is what I enjoyed the most. Every sway of the boat gives you this feeling that "your-soul-left-your-body-like" and it is also funny to watch your seatmates scream out their lungs. Moreover, I also enjoyed and loved the other rides. Like swing, frisbee, and the octopus, it's just that it gave me a little headache. Nonetheless, it was thrilling and fun.

To sum up, Vigan is equipped with beautiful and fun tourist spots. As well as nice, resilient, and approachable people. Also, it is home to a lot of sumptuous food that will surely make you want to buy more if you visit in the future. I can say that this town is giving the vibe of "babalik-balikan" because I'm looking forward to more trips there. Tara na Vigan na!
