Embarking on a New Journey
It's true what they say: "Time flies." As we welcome 2024, this never-ending journey we call "life" will undoubtedly bring pail of tears, loads of happiness, and wide smiles. Since the year 2023 has come to an end, there are a lot of memories that are difficult to forget or let go of, regardless of whether they were positive or negative. Would I, or even the person reading this right now, use time travel to go back to last year if given the chance?
I met new friends and even more than friends last year, so it was definitely a great experience. In addition, I led a conventional high school girl's life, focused on extracurricular activities, academics, and perhaps a hint of romance. However, there were also a lot of highs and lows. Despite everything, though, I am grateful for all of the challenges I faced. It taught me a lot of things that I couldn't have learned from academics or journalism. It opened my eyes to the benefits of putting oneself first.
On the other hand, setting objectives and targets for this year is essential since it acts as a roadmap for us. That is why my current objective is to become a better person, or to become the best version of myself. Like gaining the ability to let go of the memories and hope that had been piercing every part of me, being more resilient than I had ever been, and learning to deal with the reality that things won't turn out the way I wanted them to.
Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to this new experience and trip that I'm embarking on this year. I can't wait to reveal all that has yet to be revealed, and I'm excited to fall as it will help me learn how to soar. I am prepared to be filled with additional information for my academic life. I'll be sharpening my pen for journalism so I can write more and more without stopping. Regarding my social life, I just wanted to express my gratitude to those who have stuck with me through thick and thin.
As a result, I would prefer to remain in the present even if I had the opportunity to travel back in time. Even if I were to make a mistake, I wouldn't want to alter anything. I'm happy now since everything occurs for a purpose. I'm happy with the person I've become. Memories in the past is a good place to visit, but not a great place to stay. In any case, I've prepared myself for this voyage over an unpredictable wave of the sea since the best is yet to come.
