Reflection: I am my own mirrorball
A lot of students like me might find basic electronics a hard and complex subject. It is because it is mere circuits, electricity, resistors, protons, and how this stuff works. Sometimes I exasperatedly sigh out of frustration since I cannot make the LED bulb, light. Well, it's normal because it's a part of students' nature. To seek, to find, and to know. As days passed by, I was able to espouse this subject, I learned how to make the bulb light, and I learned the basic functions of some electric components. Additionally, I also learned how to light a lot of LED bulbs at the same time. Furthermore, I was able to ace the performance task merely about the measuring of voltage terminal, voltage drop, resistance, and current of a particular circuit using a Digital Multi-meter.
But reality hits hard...
It's not only rainbows and flowers that I experienced throughout the basic electronics quarter one. But I also experienced storms, there are times when I get excused in class and miss some of the important keys which makes me lost in track, and leaves me bewildered. Afterward, I find things difficult to bear with again.
However, they said that if there is a storm, there will always be a rainbow after it.
Thankfully, with the help of my teacher and peers, I was able to get back on track again. I learned to remove the cobwebs in my mind that once left me hanging and wondering. Not only that I was to get back in lane, but surprisingly, I surpassed all the challenges and was also able to attain the highest score in our first quarterly exam. It was one of my happiest moments because I did not disappoint myself.Moving on, I know that it was just a synapse of what I will encounter and face this grade 10, as well as in the future, but I won't stop. I will keep on pushing, keep myself driven and full of fuel so that I can call myself a bona fide achiever and attain my best possible version. We are our own mirrorball, even though how dirty, and how broken the world did us, we still keep on shining. Never let those disappointments and challenges take over us, instead, use them as your most powerful weapon and tell the world about it.
